Novikov equation: Backlund transformation and applications

摘要

For the Novikov equation, we construct and study a Backlund transformation containing both independent and dependent variables. We use the reciprocal transformation that relates the Novikov equation and the associated Novikov equation. As an application, we derive the corresponding nonlinear superposition formula and present some solutions of the Novikov equation.
