Europe naphtha-based cracker margins fall, LPG margins rise

LONDON (ICIS)--European contract and spot naphtha-based cracker margins have fallen week on week as a result of a 2.9% increase in euro-denominated costs, ICIS margin analysis showed on Monday. In the week to 18 March, contract cracker margins based on naphtha feedstock fell by almost 5% to their lowest level since the end of November 2015. Naphtha prices climbed by around $15/tonne, but the impact on margins was lessened by a 1.2% weakening of the dollar.
