KOLKATA (ICIS)--India’s oil marketing companies (OMCs) can now adopt “flexible” pricing for their ethanol procurement, as the government moves toward a more market-determined price regime for the material, a senior official at one of the OMCs said on Friday. For the ethanol procurement season of 1 December 2016 to 30 November 2017, the OMCs would fix the price based on the open market prices of sugarcane purchased by sugar mills.
