摘要

HAVE YOU you ever had your sandwich snatched by an opportunistic seagull as you looked the other way at a beachside cafe Or arrived at the putting green just in time to see a crow making off with your golf ball.Humans and birds often find themselves at odds with one another as we continue to encroach upon birds' wild habitats. Many species have been pushed to the point of near-extinction, while others have benefited from a dependable food supply, and their populations have exploded to levels where even some native species can be regarded as pests.
