Tom Whinney is part of a team managing the livestock enterprises at 'Warrambeen', a mixed farming operation on the Volcanic Plains of southern Victoria about 50 kilometres North West of Geelong. The sheep enterprise is mainly a self-replacing Merino flock of 8000 ewes, with a further 1000 first-cross ewes producing prime lambs. Whinney first heard about lifetimewool from a neighbouring producer when working on a property in the Western district of Victoria in 2005. Since this time, he has had a keeninterest in the project's findings and has incorporated numerous lifetimewool principles in management of breeding ewes.
