Credentialled Merino wool in demand across the globe

Ameeting at Bruce and Carol Taylor's Boxleigh Park SRS Merinos in Wellington, NSW, set in motion a new relationship for ethically and sus-tainably-produced Australian wool and the wholesale textile industry. "In 2008 a group from INSTYLE paid a visitto Bruce and Carol Taylor's farm along with former NSW Farmer of the Year and SRS producer Norm Smith and SRS chief scientist and breeding adviser Jim Watts. The farm visit was a revelation into just how environmentally conscientious some farmers reallyare. Bruce started by showing us some photos of how his farm looked a decade ago - drought-ravaged and under threat from rabbits - and then we proceeded to take a tour of it in its current shape. It was incredible how through holistic management and taking a 'soil first' approach, the farm and its animals were able to come together in a productive, environmentally harmonious state.
