February 8, 2007 saw George Badenach launch the fourth of his distinctive new line of "Badenach 42" vessels from his Mark Ellis designed mould, the 12.5 metre (42-foot) 'Quest' at Smithton, where he has relocated his business, for Triabunna fishermanRodney Badenach. This latest of a long line of quality fishing vessels from Badenach Enterprises predictably performed superbly in a moderate chop on trials, easily attaining her top speed of 25 knots at 2,500 revs, and cruising happily at 1,800 revs orso at 18 knots. The big C-9 Caterpillar was responsive and its operation impressively quiet. With the wheelhouse doors closed, the noise was minimal and the ride notably as comfortable as that of a top of the range pleasure cruiser.
