Working to save the sawfish

LANDOWNERS and communities of northern Australia are playing a valuable role in protecting freshwater sawfish. Through a community awareness and education program, run by WWF-Australia, people are learning how unique these creatures are, how to safelyrelease them when they are accidentally caught and are contributing to the knowledge of freshwater sawfish by reporting sightings of this bizarre and unique animal.
