A fleet of 11 Sandvik 514E loaders, run off the Finnish company's Automine automation package, will do the heavy lifting at Argyle when its block cave mine comes into operation. While one of the main drivers of this was safety, there are expected to be some operational benefits. For one thing, only one third the number of operators will be required.
