According to January-July 2003 statistics released by the National Bureau of Statistics,China produced 6,239,000 tons of man-made fibers,up 16.96% from the same 2002 period.Of this,viscose fiber grew by 17.91% to 439,10 tonbs,and synthetic fibers by 16.77% to 5,720,800 tons.
