AFDJ contacted Dr Jon Starr and asked him to explain his recent approach to our government and what it actually means in layman terminology. This is his response that I received on the 7th April. With our initial visit to Australia in November 2007 my message was "Starting today, the era of choosing sides, and having convoluted debates on the relative merits of energy growth v the environment v climate changes becomes history." "We no longer have to hope to or strive for sustainable survival, we can achieve sustainable growth." As a student of history I've found it helpful to analyze our past to help determine what interplay of events have brought us ro our current position, and I want to share rhar thread or history as I see it impacting our current energy, environmental, climate and water issues.
