In order to intensify surveillance on the transshipment of Chinese-made textile & apparel products to the U.S.and the EU,Mari Pangestu,the Indonesian Trade Minister,has recently announced a considerable reduction of the authority,including the issue of the certificate of origin delegated to regional industry & trade bureaus in order to transfer direct control to central ministries and agencies.However,as for Java,Bali and North Sumatra,the existing authority will remain delegated to regional industry & trade bureaus as in the past.
