Short-term help for N.S. beef farmers? - Something's coming, Minister says

Nova Scotia's Minister of Agriculture John MacDonell says he hopes to have approval of cabinet as early as mid-November for a program providing short-term help for cattle producers. "It's my plan to have it (short-term help) coming," the Minister said. "I am surprised it's taken this long (but) I can't snap my fingers and have it happen." Details of the proposal were not part of the Minister's disclosure in the course of a telephone interview with Atlantic Beef shortly before the Legislative Assembly closed down after a 35-day fall session, the first under NDP rule.
