About six months after ITMA 2011 in Barcelona, Picanol is looking back on a very successful market introduction of weaving solutions for technical fabrics.The super-wide "OptiMax" flexible rapier loom equipped with positive grippers attracted a lot of interest from technical and other weavers alike looking for more flexibility and user-friendliness. At the show already several contracts for 540-cm-wide machines were concluded for applications in coating fabrics, conveyor belts and carpet-backings. In the months after the show, positive gripper machines enjoyed many successes in both wide and smaller widths.
