Firms explore LNG as marine fuel

State-controlled Qatargas, Danish shipping company Maersk and Shell will together explore the utilisation and development of LNG as a marine fuel in the Middle East. The companies aim to identify new market opportunities for LNG. Supply will come from Qatargas IV, a joint venture between Qatari state-owned QP with a 70pc stake and Shell with 30pc.
