The 5.2mn t/yr Angola LNG facility is expected to operate at 75pc of nameplate capacity by January-March next year, lead shareholder Chevron says. The plant is on track to restart liquefaction operations late in the fourth quarter, Chevron chief financial officer Pat Yarrington says. Operator Angola LNG (ALNG) will decide whether to take the facility off line to perform strainer removals in the first part of next year, once the plant has restarted, she says. Strainers are part of an LNG plant’s cleaning system and are designed to prevent contamination.
