Novatek updates on Yamal LNG

Russia’s 16.5mn t/yr Yamal LNG project led by independent gas producer Novatek is moving forward despite temporary problems it faces with securing project financing. “We expect to secure project financing in the first half of 2015,” Novatek chairman Leonid Mikhelson said on 28 November. “Chinese banks would cover most of it,” he said, without providing further details.
