International business now uses CO2 pricing extensively and wants to see governments provide a clearer and more certain regulatory framework so that they can plan their climate-related investments. Globally,150 firms utilise CO2 pricing in an effort to reduce their greenhouse gas(GHG)emissions,with the vast majority of these coming from the developed world,according to a report published last month by UK-based carbon disclosure organi-sation CDP—Global Corporate Use of Carbon Pricing.Europe has 67 companies employing some type of internal CO2 price compared with 29 in the US,which has no federal CO2 pricing regulation.Australasia is home to 23 companies with internal CO2 pricing policies.
