Gazprom is determined to sign a gasexport agreement with China’s stateownedCNPC by the end of this year,although the two companies are still atodds over pricing.“A contract with CNPC will besigned this year,” chief executiveAlexei Miller said on 24 October. Theprice formula will be based onSingapore high-sulphur fuel oil prices,European gasoil prices and Singaporegasoil prices in equal proportion, Argushas learned. The deal will cover suppliesto China through the so-called“eastern route”.
