Rocanville mine expansion pivotal for Potash- Corp

PotashCorp expects to begin production from its expanded Rocanville, Saskatchewan, mine in November, further lowering the leading North American potash producer's costs. The eight-year, $3bn expansion will wrap up at the end of 2016 with the Canpotex proving run happening during the first quarter of 2017, PotashCorp told investors on 28 July. PotashCorp projects that once the mine reaches nameplate capacity of nearly 6mn t/yr of MOP, its Canpotex allotment share will increase to 56pc by the second half of 2017.
