Noticeable theoretical work and also processing and engineering developments in recent years were primarily concerned with high pressure particle bed comminution, new ultrafine air classifiers, apparatus for dense medium separation at low separation density and equipment for electronic sorting. Many authors dealt with the development or further development of mathematical models for describing mineral processing, particularly with regard to their use for plant control.
