Development of microwave communication system for electronic toll collection

Detail specification of Japanese Electronic Toll Collection system(ETC) is now under discussion, towhich 5.8 GHz active microwave communication system will be applied. We have developed a newcommunication system for ETC with the technical bases of identification systems using microwaveradio communication, and we measured basic characteristics of radio communication to prove thatthe system works well.
