A wrap for Bualuang phase four

Operator Salamander Energy has completed phase four development drilling on the Bualuang oil field in Gulf of Thailand block B8/38. Using the Vantage Drilling jackup Emerald Driller (pictured), sidetracks were drilled in three existing slant production wells, converting them to horizontal production. Downhole electric submersible pumps and expandable sand screens were installed in all wells, each consisting of 600-800m horizontal sections, now onstream to test productivity.
