Front end engineering and design work for the development of the estimated us160 million Casino gas field offshore western Victoria,Australia,has been given the go-ahead by Santos and its joint venture partners in the acreage,AWE and Mitsui.Santos,as operator of the Casino field and on behalf of the VIC/P44 joint venture,said expenditure has been approved for completion of FEED studies this year and that,pending final approval,the FEED go-ahead would ensure first gas sales from Casino in Marchd 2006.
