The Ichthys project,250km offshore northwestern Australia in the Timor Sea,has been granted major project facilitation(MPF)status,affording priority with Invest Australia,the government's inward investment agency.The development will involve a large offshore gas-condensate field and construction of an LNG plant onshore in the Kimberley region with an initial capacity of about 6 million tons per annum.
