Dirt pickup resistance of highly weatherable polyvinylidene fluoride coatings

摘要

After 40 years of application history, PVDF coating has gained its reputation as the most weatherable, architectural coating due to its photo-oxidative resistance and processibility. The coating performance has been concluded to be optimised at 70:30 weight ratio of PVDF to acrylic resin. Due to its long term service, the dirt pickup resistance of PVDF coating becomes an important aspect especially in locations with hiqh content of airborne particulates.
