CHEMICAL companies operating in China face rising labour costs and difficulties in attracting and retaining talent.Some chemical investors estimate wages in the sector are increasing by 8-10%/year.Given its population,China should not have a shortage of labour.But the rush by foreign companies to set up subsidiaries or plants in China means that finding the right talent at the right time is becoming increasingly difficult.
