Present status and future trends of non-ferrous metallic materials

摘要

This paper reviews the present status and future trends of non-ferrous metallic materials. High-performance alloys with higher strength and ductility or higher corrosion resistance have been developed. Low-cost alloys have also been developed especially in titanium-base alloys. Ecology conscious alloy design is important as in lead-free solder alloys. Recycling is indispensable for aluminum and also for precious metals. The latter canbeobtained from urban mines with less environmental load.
