Multiplex communication system for column switch and instrument panel switches

In order to solve complexity of wire harness caused by the increase of electronics units, we havealready applied multiplex communication system to the passenger compartment. Moreover, we willbe to the point at column switch signals that are common to the whole car. New multiplexcommunication system will be applied to the engine room by multiplexing column switch signals.New column switch directly sends the serial data by using the custom communication IC. Then, thecontrol unit put in the engine room receives the serial data and turns on/off the lamps and wipers.
