It has been discussed for a long time that the final target of vehicle interior noise is not simply toreduce noise level, but to improve psycho acoustical annoyance for passengers. A number of studiesin this field have been carried out and contributed to achieve comfortable compartment. Furtherstudies however on engine sound especially in acceleration are still expected because it will be apositive factor in order to increase drivers satisfaction by the acoustical feedback of engineperformance. Some of our examples on this subject together with recent technology on theannoyance are present.
