In the IMS/NGMS international research projects, we have been investigating and developing "Biological Manufacturing Systems (BMS)". This paper describes the test results of simulation on a line-less production system for welding process of body-in-white. This simulation model has freely movable autonomous equipment. This model is an application of Self-Organizing Simulation, which is based on a "potential field" method where the product demand and the equipment ability are expressed by the mechanics of the "potential field". And also described is the evaluation of the test results including the comparison with a current line-wise production.
