System architecture and communication network for on board systems

摘要

In accompany with the development of ITS, a number of information/control systems will be installedin vehicles having a variety of linkages with the existing driving functions and external informationsystems. This paper presents on board system architecture which is being developed as a guideline forthe effective development process of on board ITS functions. And the future prospects of in-vehiclecommunication network, as a focus of on board system architecture, are studied from viewpoints ofmobile multimedia, public vehicle operations, and commercial vehicles/freight operations.
