Development of wide-variety mixed production system in engine assembly line

In the engine assembly line, we have realized a mixed production system of gasoline and diesel engines. We proceeded with problem solution on utilization simulation technologies, according to the following steps; clarifying the losses caused by mixed-production reducing the losses and introducing new technologies. This report presents our development, such as Kit-supply system", By-pass production system" and "Quantitative evaluation of assembly operation difficulties".
