Russian Output Dips, But Cuts Are Less Than Pledged

Russia’s oil production and exports have fallen by another 100,000 barrels per day so far this month, but the reduction remains short of the 500,000 b/d cut that Moscow had previously announced. Output of crude and gas condensate in the first half of April is estimated at 10.75 million b/d, down 100,000 b/d from March, based on key data points. March output had fallen by 250,000 b/d, or only half the targeted amount, according to Energy Intelligence’s assessment. That brings the total cut since February to an estimated 350,000 b/d - a shortfall of 150,000 b/d.
