Economic recovery slowing, IMF says

The global economic recovery is slow- ing down "temporarily", the IMF says in an update to its April World Eco- nomic Outlook (WEO). The US econ- omy is weaker than expected and fisca crises in countries on the euro "periph- ery" pose downside risks, it says. The IMF expects world GDP to grow by 4.3pc in 2011 and 4.5pc in 2012. The April WEO put growth this year at 4.4pc (AGM, 18 April, p2).
