Political pressure has forced Total to stop supplying gasoline to Iran, but local trading firms and Chinese companies are likely to fill the gap. Total says it will cease gasoline sales to Iran. But the firm has not said when shipments will halt or whether it has any outstanding deliveries that still have to be met. Total shipped nearly 20,000 b/d of gasoline to Iran in June, including 295,000 bl on the High Force, which discharged on 8-10 June. And the firm was the single largest known supplier in shipping schedules in April and May (see graph). Trading firm ChinaOil supplied nearly 20,000 b/d last month, the only other firm named in shipping schedules.
