Ecological Monitoring of Caspian Lowlands Reservoirs in Kalmykia(Example of Tsagaan Nuur Reservoir)

We consider changes in the hydrological regime of the Tsagaan Nuur reservoir located on the Caspian lowlands from its creation to the present moment. The research shows a drop in water quality in recent years that is due to changes in the hydrologicalregime. An indicator of the chemical pollution of water (PCP-10) was calculated for Tsagaan Nuur reservoir, based on which the present ecological condition of the reservoir was estimated as an environmental emergency.
