Ust-Luga naphtha loadings surge

Total product loadings from FSU ports in July were broadly in line with June, falling by just 1pc on an average daily basis (see table, p15). But there were some marked rises in flows of certain products from a number of outlets. Naphtha loadings at the Baltic port of Ust-Luga more than doubled to 417,000t, taking overall naphtha exports from the FSU to 1.46mn t, up by 20pc on the month and by almost 50pc on July last year. Higher naphtha loadings at Ust-Luga resulted in falls at other ports that handle the product, including Arkhangelsk, Murmansk and Vitino in Russia's far north and Latvia's Ventspils.
