Bashneft halts VGO exports

Bashneft will halt vacuum gasoil (VGO) exports from its Ufa refineries after it starts processing more VGO in secondary units in March, according to a company source. The firm exported just under 500t of VGO during February, and only 5,600t in January, rail freight forwarding companies say. All of Bashneft’s VGO output is now processed in its hydrocracking unit, which can handle more after the launch of a 153,000 t/yr hydrogen unit at the Novoil refinery in October.
