BF Tanker changes fleet structure

St Petersburg-based shipping company BF Tanker has signed contracts with the Krasnoye Sormovo and Okskaya shipyards in Russia’s Nizhny Novgorod region for the construction of seven river-sea tankers. The deal covers three 5,700t RST54 “platform-tankers” that can also be used to ship dry cargo and four 5,400t RST27 tankers. Construction will be funded by the state transporta- tion leasing company. The Okskaya shipyard will build two project RST27 and three project RST54 vessels, and Krasnoye Sormovo will build two RST27 tankers.
