Transneft’s product pipeline system is now fully able to ship 10ppm sulphur diesel from Russian refineries to the Latvian port of Ventspils. And it can also supply the product for delivery to the Russian Black Sea outlets of Novorossiysk and Tuapse. The process of enabling 10ppm diesel to be shipped through the system was completed on 1 April, Transneft says. The company began pumping 10ppm to Ventspils in alternating batches with 50ppm product in March, although the quality of product emerging in the port varied over the course of that month.
