Eletrobras hires US law firm to probe corruption

Brazilian state-controlled utility Eletrobras has hired US law firm Hogan Lovells to conduct an internal investigation into possible violations of US and Brazilian anti-corruption legislation. Eletrobras has been implicated in a Brazilian federal investigation into alleged corruption that began with state-controlled oil company Petrobras last year. The utility created an internal committee to investigate potential irregularities in March, but is yet to release its findings.
