Mediterranean coaster market relatively stable

The Mediterranean Sea coaster market is not showing any major shifts. The regional cargo traffic can be called moderate, while demand for fleet has decreased slightly. At the same time, the vessel list is excessive in the basin. The bid/offer gap is growing. During negotiations, charterers rely not only on longer tonnage list, but also on a noticeable decline in bunker prices. However, owners do not look very pliable these days and reluctantly agree to make further concessions. As a result, rates have stayed at last week's levels in the region, although the pressure on freight levels is mounting.
