摘要

Paper presents the method of modelling and thermal-ventilation calculation inside the multi-chamber casing of electrical apparatus, like kiosk-type indoor/outdoor transformer substations, high and medium voltage switchboxes etc. High concentration of dissipated and diversified heat sources in relatively small volume leads to their non-uniform distribution, what might be a reason of thermal problems. Presented method enables to determine permissible thermal power-rise limit in every chamber as the result of casing thermal and ventilation conditions. The knowledge of power limitations and their local decomposition improves the reliability of the equipment inside the casing.
