This paper deals with non-isolated single and three-phase PWM AC line matrix-reactance choppers (MRC) based on Cuk B{sub}1 and Cuk B{sub}2 topologies. Their single-phase topologies are similar to well-known DC/DC converter ones with bipolar voltage gain. The MRC are built-up through substitution of the self-commutated unidirectional switches by the bi-directional ones. The new approach to steady state modelling of these MRC is presented in the paper. With the help of modified state space averaged method the four-terminal description of the averaged circuit models is presented. The basic properties formulas of the single-phase circuits with presented MRC, obtained by using of one four-terminal A chain parameters, are also inserted. Some theoretical analysis results are presented together with simulation test results obtained for switched models of MRC (non stationary models) to verify of theoretical ones.
