Nigeria makes overtures to delta rebels

The Nigerian government will curb military operations in the Niger delta as it seeks to contain an escalating conflict in the region, and start dialogue with rebel groups. But main group the Niger Delta Avengers (NDA) says it has not entered into any government-brokered talks.
