Flows of US distilled condensate to Europe pose a threat to the regional market share of Algeria’s fagship export grade — light sweet Saharan Blend. US distilled condensate exports increased to 85,000 b/d in January-July, up from 15,000 b/d last year, hitting a peak of 130,000 b/d in June, EIA data show (see graph, upper left). And Europe is taking 80,000-100,000 b/d, more or less evenly split between northwest Europe and the Mediterranean market.
