Exports through Kurdistan rise

Exports of Iraqi and Kurdish crude under an export-sharing deal signed by Baghdad and Erbil at the end of last year have jumped to 650,000 b/d. Flows through the Kirkuk-Ceyhan pipeline rose by 53pc in the week to 20 April from 425,000 b/d a week earlier. The higher pumping rate has eliminated Kirkuk loading delays at the Ceyhan terminal, and pushed exports to nearly 400,000 b/d on 1-23 April, up by 33pc from March. Kirkuk shipments will average almost 570,000 b/d - the highest in nearly four years - if the 650,000 b/d pumping rate is maintained until the end of this month.
