Asia flirts with Forties

North Sea Forties crude shipments to Asia-Pacific are unlikely to become regular again, despite recent fixtures. Four VLCCs are taking around 8mn bl of Forties crude to Asia-Pacific. Loadings began late last month and will continue into November. Opportunities to move more cargoes east have dwindled as competing grades in Asia-Pacific have weakened against Forties. But more refiners have tested the grade, and will be watching price spreads closely for future buying
