Miners shake up key ASX indices

Diversified miner South32 will replace James Hardie Industries in the ASX 20. The company has started 2023 strongly and is up 19 since the start of the year, giving it a market capitalisation of A$21.7 billion. There are also changes in the ASX 200 with contractor NRW Holdings and graphite miner Syrah Resources in and gold producer Ramelius Resources out. Syrah was previously in the ASX 200 but was removed in mid-2019, while NRW was last in the index in September 2021.
